The database features 115 species to include 96 terrestrial plants and 19 marine organisms. From the database, computed and organised records can be generated to allow for species selection, phytochemistry, biological activities and ethnomedicinal uses, thereby facilitating the task of finding relevant data. Details pertaining to agro-climatic parameters can be viewed for 45 prioritised plants in the database. Five agro-climatic parameters namely annual mean: minimum rainfall, maximum rainfall, minimum temperature, maximum temperature (all Long Term Means, 1981-2010) and agro-climatic zones, have been used to match the characterised lands sites to the plant agro-climatic requirements. A table of land sites that are suitable to cultivate the selected plant species (based on climate data) is finally generated to guide the end-user in his business plan to develop nutraceutical products.
